Thanet Pub of the Year 2025
Beer lovers from the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) have judged The Royston micro-pub in Broadstairs as CAMRA Thanet’s Pub of the Year 2025. At the presentation on 30th April, Branch Chairman Damien Clark said “I’m pleased to announce that for three years running now the Royston is Thanet CAMRA’s pub of the year. This is becoming a bit of a regular thing, marking once again that this pub is very much on form”.
Responding, Andy Smith the pub’s owner, said “CAMRA’s a massive organisation with members coming from near and far to record beer quality and their experiences as customers. We’ve won on merit not by lobbying but by doing things right. Between us all we have built a solid meeting place for all types of people, the pub is one of the last bastions of the community. I thank my partner Melissa, our wonderful staff and of course our customers”.
